My students come from different cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds. They all bring a variety of experiences to the classroom. While some students have not been outside of their neighborhood, they are able to experience the world through the books that we read and through the different topics that we cover in class. My students attend a school that allows them to learn both English and Spanish. They are able to experience these languages through math, science, social studies, and literacy. They have access to two different languages at home and at school.
