My students are high school juniors and live in a suburb, though it is far more similar to an urban setting. Many come from homes where education is not always a priority and trying to convince them that it is, particularly without tangible results, can be difficult. Most are willing to learn but often don't know how to use knowledge that isn't immediately useful.
