My students live in inner city Oklahoma City and come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Over ninety percent of my class and school are on free or reduced lunch and about half of my class are considered to be English Language Learners. My school as a whole is compromised of a majority Hispanic population. Despite facing numerous obstacles including language barriers, lack of parental support, and financial hardships, my students display a love for learning, and enjoy coming to school each and every day.
