My students come from low socioeconomic families that face a lot of challenges. Some of my students come to school without the proper supplies or even clothing. We are a Title I school with 95% of the children on free and reduced lunches. Even though some of these children come to school hungry, cold and sometimes feeling defeated, they put smiles on their faces and put their best foot forward for school.
