My students are 7th graders who attend public school in Louisiana. My school is the second largest in the parish. Our students mostly come from middle class homes. This means we are not a Title I school, nor do our parents have an abundance of money leftover after the bills are paid. Therefore, we do not receive extra funds from the government, and the PTA (Parent Teacher Association) is unable to assist us many times. Our students are some of the most respectful, well-behaved, and creative students in the parish, and deserve the same opportunities as the students in our parish who attend Title I schools and magnet schools (in which many of the students come from upper class homes).
