Students will be demonstrate their ability to integrate scientific processes into real life situations by reviewing case studies and scientific journals. Having classroom supplies like markers, composition notebooks, pens, tape, and glue allow students to sketch and brainstorm their ideas in a logical and organized manner. Students will be using Engineering practices to try to solve some everyday issues that effect ecosystems in different parts of the world. Students will be guided through this design thinking practice and will recorded their thoughts and ideas in their Interactive Notebooks. This is a new approach to teaching science and integrates most of the NGSS strategies into the curriculum.
