My students are bright, energetic, and curious five and six year olds that come from various wonderful backgrounds and cultures. I teach kindergarten in a low-income urban neighborhood in Chicago, where many of my students are English language learners, and come to school to have their first experiences with books. My little ones love to LOOK at books...but I want to build their love for READING books through the use of a leveled reading library.
