Our rural remote students will learn some fundamentals in how to live in the city including walking on city streets, bus schedules, restaurant behavior, introduce them to museums, science exhibits, farms and zoos. Most of our students have never been been outside of our village. We feel that the experience the students will have traveling to Anchorage will help them gain an understanding of behavior etiquette, how to cross streets, how to order and pay for food, how to ask for help, how to help each other, things to watch out for and be aware of and how to conduct themselves in public places.
