I work with low income families who have a hard time providing for their children. Many parents work two jobs just to pay for rent, food and clothing. Our students often lack the basic funds for school supplies and field trips. Therefore, whatever knowledge and skills my students gain at school will be the set of tools they have to use in the world. That is why I feel the urgency and importance that at school, I need to provide the essential knowledge and variety of tools they need to succeed.
