My students live in a rural area of Alabama. Our school is a kindergarten through 4th grade, Title I school, housing around 600 students. About 86% of the students are white, 13% are African American, and 1% is Hispanic. Over half of the students eat free or reduced lunch. They enjoy reading and are rewarded for doing so.
