I teach a group of students who are high learners but don't spend a lot of time outdoors. They come to my classroom with some knowledge of the earth sciences but with little hands-on experiences. This is the first grade where students change classes and have the opportunity to have science for an extended period of time. With more time and hands-on resources, science can come to life for students.
