My students are growing up in a low socio-economic area of South Florida. Many of my student are recent immigrants to the United States. They have left their homes, families and country in search of new opportunities in the United States. These children are hungry for knowledge and often remind me of sponges as they soak up everything that I have to offer them. I see first hand that their curiosity is what drives their education. Sadly, I feel like my resources are limited because of lack of technology.
