The students at my school are awesome. They are energetic, eager to learn, and have a positive attitude toward their education. Every morning my students come in with a smile on their face, ready to learn something new. Unfortunately, the students that attend our school are from very low income families. They are bussed in from surrounding areas where poverty is a huge problem. I have had a few students this year alone who have been designated as homeless because they've been evicted or live out of a car. Some of my students don't even have shoes that fit them or a jacket that will keep them warm. Most have a parent still living in Mexico, while a single parent is here trying to provide for their children. Even though, they face all of these hardships, they smile through the day and love school. They inspire me everyday to come to work and teach no matter how I feel because they face issues that are harder than I can ever imagine and yet they still make it to school each day.
