In a collaborative teaching environment of 90 students, it is important to teach to all types of learners. We have a significant amount of English language learners that come into our classroom. By the time they get to an intermediate level, they are at an English proficiency. Most of our students come from families with both working parents. We are neither a Title I school that gets funded by the state nor in a community of high income parents. Recently our district has started to request more technology experiences for elementary students in order to prepare our students for Common Core. In order to utilize technology students need to have access to it. A tool like an iPad or programs will help aid in group or one on one instructional practices.
