My students enjoy science class and the activities we do together, but I am limited to the types of hands-on activities I can offer them due to the lack of supplies. Having a few microscopes in my class would be amazing, and I know that it would take my science teaching to the next level! I teach a unit on cells, but we are unable to complete the lab section comparing plant and animal cells because we do not have microscopes. I would like my students to move on to middle school with a basic understanding of how to use a microscope.
