Preschool is all about hands-on activities. My students aren't used to having daily activities such as exploring, making volcanoes, painting, making tacos with playdough. Due to this pandemic, we are unable to meet. I don't hear my students saying, "Ms. Vazquez I made you tacos to eat." that they made with playdough. "Ms. Vazquez that's me in space!" showing me their painting. Sometimes they show my name interpreted through symbols they wrote down.
The majority of families are low-income and many have no job during these difficult times. They do not have the means to provide their children with these basic items to enhance the ongoing learning for their children.
