Our school serves approximately 345 students grades K-5. Students from low-income families make up ninety-seven percent of our population. A portion of our students suffer from emotional and behavioral problems which have an impact on their ability to learn and interact appropriately with others. Educating students from low socioeconomic backgrounds is both rewarding and challenging. Despite the many obstacles we face as a school community, we are like a family. So many of our students arrive at school with excess baggage including incarcerated parents, families in crisis, and homelessness. We are determined to meet not only their academic needs, but social and emotional needs as well.
