My school no longer offers an art class taught by a licensed art teacher. Funding for art supplies is not budgeted for teachers, therefore, students miss out on exposure to basic art principals. As an elementary teacher, I do my best to not just make crafts with students and teach them about the basic elements of art. This proves difficult without a supply budget. Art can enrich all subjects therefore, it is essential to tie art to all subjects.
