My students are all little heroes. They come to school every day and face a multitude of challenges which they fight to overcome. Not only do all of my students have unique and special needs, but many come from backgrounds of high poverty. Some of the students I work with have learning disabilities, are students with Autism, have medical conditions, ADD and ADHD, and are working on behavior goals. This is in conjunction with the social and emotional issues that may arise when a parent or family member is absent, the family moves schools frequently, is living in poverty or has been affected by homelessness.
