These kids are in one of the best classes I have had in 8 years. They would appreciate a new rug. Our current rug is over 10 years old. It has several stains from markers, shoes, gum, and "accidents." This rug is not shampooed nor are we allowed to take it out of the building to clean. The school is also not financially able to replace it with a new one. I am at a school with many children coming from low income families and a high number of free and reduced lunches. Many of their parents are not college educated with high paying jobs. These are students who aren't always having their needs met. I want them to feel special and enjoy something nice, new and clean. Please help our class with this project. It will be greatly appreciated!
