My students are very much like students you would meet at any school across the United States; their needs, however are very different. A large majority of my students come from non-English speaking homes and their parents are doing their best to raise them and ensure they receive a good education. These students attend a high needs school outside of Washington, DC and all come from low-income families. My goal is to provide lessons which motivate, engage, and challenge them academically through differentiated instruction. The use of additional technology in our classroom would help us meet this goal.
