Most of my students are ninth and tenth graders who attend a public school in Michigan. Many have taken Algebra before, but have not succeeded in passing. Also, 50% of my students are special needs students. Most either are to frustrated to try any more or feel like they will never get algebra. Some try really hard but still "don't get it" and others give up before they start because this is their second or third time in an algebra class.
