My students go to school at an urban school in Denver, Colorado. 97% of our students receive free lunch, due to poverty. We have students from all over the world including Vietnam, Somalia, Mexico, China, Thailand, Kenya, and Ethiopia to name a few. We have many students that have come from a transitional housing as well as the state public housing. Our school is unique in that we service the poorest neighborhood in the entire state. Our school has many challenges such as poverty, homelessness, as well as quite a bit of diversity.
