Many kindergarten students who pass through my classroom come from homes where exciting manipulatives are not readily available. My school is located where low economic situations exist and so therefore, most hands on learning activities happen at school. I know that my students always walk away with a more successful experience when the learning is fun and created by themselves. So, knowing this, I want to provide a classroom where all students have the opportunity to be in a place where meaningful experiences are all around them.
