I teach in a school that serves a high poverty community with many different languages spoken. Most of my students have not attended preschool and have limited life experiences. Every morning they come to school facing many different challenges and it is my job to make them feel safe and loved so that we can continue on this journey together. With up to 30 students in each class, this task can seem daunting but it is my heart's work to make a difference in each of their lives.
