I teach in an urban school district with a high rate of poverty. My students have a difficult time finding the necessary resources to be successful in school. They face various obstacles in their life which often prevent them from being successful. All of my students qualify for free breakfast and lunch at school. I have requested that care givers send headphones to school for their students. Most students have not brought in headphones this school year.
