My students are self driven kids that give it their all, everyday. Our students primarily come from newcomer families. They are their families' hopes and dreams. They translate for their non-English speaking parents. We are a Title I school, and nearly 80% of my students come from low-income homes. They need a chance at reading fluently so that they can achieve beyond what their parents work so hard for.
