I teach children who struggle in English and need an extra period to help them master what they lack. They are students who generally have lower self esteem and tend to call out to blame their lower grades on their behavior rather then take ownership of their work. They are children that need teachers to believe in them and make them realize that they can learn if they try. They are students that learn best with hands on activities that are fun and interactive. They love positive rewards which I am strongly for. They loved it when I took pictures of them recognizing them as the speller of the month or the best behaved student. They are children who need to feel wanted and appreciated and work best when they are in a risk free environment.
