My students primarily come from low social economic backgrounds. The classroom as well as the school is highly diverse with all students having a common goal. That goal is for them to have the same opportunities of an education as those students in the surrounding areas. Many of the students in my classroom are raised by family members or they are first generational American students. They are like sponges soaking up all that we offer them with smiles on their faces. They too want the American Dream.
