Our kindergarten class consist of twenty, five and six-years-olds. We are a very diverse class of young learners in a Title One school in North Carolina. Although we are Title One, we are very proud of our students' achievement. We scored fourth in our county for end of grade scores. Our students love to explore, investigate and observe. Science is one of their favorite subjects because it is often the one that they have the least exposure to. Many of the students have never been to a zoo, or even had a pet of their own. School is the one constant stable routine that many have ever had. They thrive in the environment and we strive to make our classrooms as inviting as possible.
