About 98% of my students are second language learners or ELLs. ELL means English language learner. English is not their native language and can be hard for them. The area in which my school is located is an area of poverty where parents are always working and cannot afford school supplies. All students receive free lunch. With this in mind, I cannot ask for donations from families because I will not receive any.
