My classroom is full of amazing children with all types of abilities (disabilities to some). My classroom ranges from autism to down syndrome, behavior disorders to intellectually disabled, and much more. The amount of love and energy is breathtaking and sometimes exhausting. My school is a fun loving elementary school with preschool age kids up to second graders. I am lucky enough to work with all of those age ranges. We do what we can to make sure the kids have the best education and social experiences possible. I make it my first priority to teach them how to control their bodies so they can be successful in our world right now and as they grow older. Being able to find what make them giggle and puts their energy to the best use, is so very important. My students make me a better person and provide me with so much joy, I am forever thankful for who they are and what each one of them have taught me. They, in my opinion, are the sources of smiles here at our school.
