I have an amazing group of 28 second grade students! They are a true representation of our world, and the diversity that we hold so dear in our country. Several years ago, we rallied to have our school turn from a traditional schedule, into a 45\15 calendar. We felt that three months off was much too long for our highly diverse, and challenged group of students. Today, we continue to be the only 45/15 school in our community. It continues to be a challenge with training and curriculum changes, but we continue to believe that it's what is best for ALL students. I'm very proud of each of my second graders and the gains that they continue to make in my classroom!
