Make a donation Mrs. Kramer can use on her next classroom project.
The donations for this project will improve my classroom by reducing the amount of behavioral issues due to sensory issues because I will be able to provide the appropriate stimulation that my students need, but cannot voice, due to their disabilities. All of the items listed on my shopping list with help my students to regulate their bodies. My students have special needs and often have difficulty regulating their bodies. They need weighted aids, squeezing aids, fidgets, chewy tubes, etc. in order to get their bodies ready to learn. For example, if we are getting ready to do a whole group activity and one student is starting to run around the room or make loud vocalizations, I can put the weighted vest on them or give them theraputty to work with while sitting in group. These sensory tools will help to decrease behaviors and increase on task learning :)
