One thing we know is that play is essential to brain development. These days many kids are stuck behind screens and are missing that vital element of play. My project would give them a dramatic play center that includes a kitchen and table and chairs as well as the items that would go in the kitchen. In addition, I have included other dramatic play items like a doctors kit and vet kit. This project was created to bring play back into the classroom. I want them to engage in meaningful independent play where they are building social and life skills. They will innately incorporate language and math skills as they play.
When children are given the opportunity to play they improve in every developmental aspect. Thank you for helping me bring play back into the classroom.
