My school is located in a very poor neighborhood. Some of my students have very difficult home lives, and their happy place is my classroom. My students have been with me for two years, kindergarten and first grade, and I have seen the struggle many have gone through. Many of them worry about where their next meal will come from, but when they are at school they light up. My students are silly, funny and so lovable. They love coming to school, and I love seeing them every morning.
