Each student on the autism spectrum is unique and special and their needs vary greatly in our classroom. Our students find it hard to work on tasks and will often jump up out of their seats and run around the room to avoid doing the task or to meet their sensory needs. We will be using the materials that I have ordered to build a sensory corner in our classroom. The sensory corner will be used to enable my students to regulate their bodies and get themselves calm in order to focus on the task at hand. With the materials that I have ordered, students will be able to choose an activity that helps calm them and gives them the ability to finish their tasks.
