My students are amazing! Although 96% of the children at my school live in poverty, (qualifying for free and reduced lunch) many continue to improve academically despite extreme life challenges. The school itself is located in the state of Florida and is considered a Renaissance school, due to the high level of low-income families. My school is culturally and racially diverse, with the majority being ELL or African American students.
