My 4th grade students are all incredible in their own way. I just got switched from 2nd grade to 4th grade, and the enthusiasm that my new students have is undeniable. I work at a high-poverty grade "F" elementary school in Florida. This means we have an extra hour of intervention everyday to work on basic skills that the students in my school lack. Some of my students don't have the resources to buy school supplies, but they come to school everyday ready to learn. Their optimism is contagious! Many of my students are far behind grade level when it comes to reading and writing, so I have a long and winding road ahead of me to get these kids ready for the 5th grade!
