My school is a Title I school where the majority of our children are learning English as a second language. Although, my students come from an economically disadvantaged community with about 95% of students qualifying for free/reduced lunch, they are all excited to come into class and begin learning. Many of our students are sent home with food to last them through the weekend so they do not have to go hungry. Most of our children get to enjoy modern technology and literature in one place, and that is in the classroom. Our children need these tools because they, like all other children, appreciate having fun and learning new things. My students walk into my classroom each and every day with big smiles and a desire to learn. Despite, their struggles that they face on a daily basis they are always ready to begin the day and learn something new. My students say that they don't want the school day to be over because they love being at school so much. My students are my inspiration!
