Our school is a charter school in Philadelphia. More than half our students are on free/reduced lunch. Despite some of the hardships they may have, they come to school eager to learn. As I stated before, they love current events and when I had the subscription to this magazine before it sparked many lively classroom discussions and debates. My 8th graders move on to High School next year and I feel that being up to date on the happenings of the world, helps them keep pace with their peers across the city.
