We are a Title I school in Colorado with many English language Learners. We know that in an age when many schools are cutting back on the arts, we are fortunate to have art in our school available to all of our kindergarten through fifth grade students. Unfortunately, although we do have art class, we are allocated very little money for resources, including consumables and that doesn't leave us with money for other needed items. I serve all 525 students in our elementary school and I would love to do more 3D art, but we have no place to display any 3D art we create. Oftentimes, children can express themselves through art in ways that they cannot in other subjects, especially when English is not their first language. Our students love to show their families and other community members what they do, and we love to show the wonderful work that we are so proud of.
