My students attend to a public school in west Texas. Most of them are in a economically disadvantage situation. They are in the beautiful, but struggling years of adolescence trying to find their identity. Feeling proud for being American, but also recognizing their Mexican ancestry. Eager to make the transition from a Spanish led class to an English instruction class. Most of them have attended a U.S. school since Pre-K, but as the city grows, more kids new to the country are arriving, and their English knowledge is little to non existent.
