My school is located in a small rural town, located just outside a larger city where poverty is a concern. Our school district enrolls just over 2,000 students. The district is made up of students who come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with about 48% of our students receiving free lunch. While teachers can be a living example for students, students are more often an inspiration to teachers. My students enter my classroom full of enthusiasm and excitement every day, ready to conquer whatever is thrown their way. My students are very active and have a love for learning that is fostered through various materials and activities. My students are growing and learning, both together and independently. They will grow up to be engineers, scientists, teachers, farmers, lawyers, and world leaders, and I am honored to be a part of their growing and learning process.
