My students are all Hispanic. The majority are ESOL Levels 1-3 and have limited access to technology and books that can help them access academic language. The majority of the student body consists of children on free and reduced lunch. Many of them do not travel outside of their community which limits their exposure to different resources. Due to the new reading series, students are expected to have exposure to technology. There are many teachable moments which could be enhanced with technology. In order to complete these requirements students are asked to gather around the one working computer, sit on the floor and take notes. This process becomes very cumbersome and uncomfortable
