Hello,
Over the years I've taught students from Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade. The one thing that keeps every day interesting is how each child, in each grade, at one point or another "gets it." They move forward in their artistic development creating art projects (at times cautiously), to express and share what they've learned.
Basics like paper, pencils, crayons and markers are still the staple items used to inspire creativity. As my students learn and develop their artistic skills, growth in their abilities allows for creative exploration, which gives way to confidence, and in turn sets them on a personal journey of artistic expression. Educating my students, and witnessing their growth year to year provides continued surprise and endearing pride.
