My students attend an inner city, urban school. The majority of students come from low income families and almost all students receive free lunch. They are creative, intelligent kids that need exposure outside of the typical educational experiences, because they come with very little prior knowledge. They need more than just regular paper and pencil strategies to be truly successful. They need out of the box ideas to allow them to truly feel something is worth their time and energy.
