My students have become little artists. Their reading, writing, and math skills come to life for them when they are able to create it. They get so very excited when they channel their artistic ability that they never knew they had. I have seen them grow in leaps and bounds when they create their academic areas. It is very hard to keep them growing when we are short of these supplies.
That is why we are asking for some help. We need plain white drawing paper. It is very hard when you are painting and using markers and the paper you have is ripping and the paint is coming through because it is not durable paper. Our markers dry out so quickly because we do not have an unlimited amount. We must keep using the sames markers over and over. With all of my students using the same markers they do dry out. This puts a limit on their creativity. Everyone knows how artists feel when they get a brand new box of crayons or markers. We are also in need of paint. We have been trying to make our own water colors when our markers dry out just to keep the creativity flowing. My students would also love multicultural crayons. It is very cute when we all try to create colors that match their skin.
You will make their dreams come true if you can help us to keep their creativity growing. The art in my classroom works hand in hand with their reading, writing, and math. Let's keep their talents growing!!!
