Our school has a wide mixture of diverse students. Being the only 5th grade Science Teacher at my school it is my responsibility to meet all their needs. We have many students that come from low income families that do not have the capabilities or resources to supply them with materials. On the other hand, I have a group of gifted students that need to be challenged and enriched outside of their regular curriculum. In addition to this, I also have ESOL students that are second language learners that depend on differentiated instruction to learn a new language. This is a wide range of students that all must be taught vital information in a wide variety of ways.
