Our students are energetic, loving, and very eclectic. There is a strong sense of family in our halls amongst students and teachers. Students are very active in after school activities, and typically fill the building daily until it closes at 6 pm. We have what I would consider a wider than average range of academic abilities amongst our population. Attending a college of choice is not attainable for all of our students, typically due to financial restraints. Our students travel daily from multiple neighborhoods across our city (which is one of the 3 largest cities in the United States). The vast majority of our students come from low income households, and having only a single parent at home is a common scenario. Our students rarely allow any financial/familial setbacks hinder their ability to succeed in school.
